In this scenario, the application is hosted on two dedicated servers (the minimum required to allow load balancing and fail-over services) where both machines act as web servers while one of them is also serving as a database server. Load balancing is accomplished by using a pair of BIG/IP controllers from F5 Networks (a Securenet Systems partner).
